Soldering stations
- Do not touch the tip!
- Turn the fume extractor on
Handheld multimeter
- Always be aware of short circuits
- Ensure you are using the right settings when measuring current (200mA MAX or 10A MAX)
Oscilloscope
- Make sure to use the power cord provided
- Always use the oscilloscope probes provided
Power supply
- Double check your circuit before supplying power
- Do not touch terminals while power is being supplied
- Always turn off power supply before making changes to your circuit
- Always ensure your positive and negative terminals are not in contact to avoid short circuits
Function generator
- Be aware of damaged output cable when operating this device
- Ensure that connectors are the correct sizes
- Never use brute force when connecting your coax cable
Digital multimeter
- Make sure to connect your measuring cables to the appropriate rating
- The ratings allowed by the multimeter are:
- 200V
- 1000V
- 500Vpk Max
- 3A RMS
- If the previous precautions have been met and the multimeter is giving inaccurate readings, contact the electrical tech to check the fuse on the back of the device
