3D Printer OS: Basics

How to upload your STL files

To upload an .stl file from your computer, click on the "Files" tab at the top of the window shown in red below.

From here, click on the green "Add Files" button located on the upper right side of the window shown below in a blue box:

The files tab then allows you to drag and drop a file in to add it to your 3DPrinterOS files for printing as shown below.

Once an .stl  file has been selected from your computer, it will show up in the files tab.

Your file is now uploaded and ready to be sliced through 3DPrinterOS's built in slicer as shown in the next section.

Complete this process for each of the letters you downloaded for use in the next steps!

For better file management, files can be added to a project folder by clicking on the circle to the left of the file name and selecting "Move to Project" in the popup menu at the bottom of the page.

Any files uploaded can be viewed by staff and will be reviewed prior to printing. We reserve the right to refuse any 3D printing request.

NOTE: All prints done in the Makerspace MUST comply with the student code of conduct for the University of Calgary. Information on this can be found here (https://www.ucalgary.ca/student-services/student-conduct)
