Digital Design Lab room summary

The Digital Design Lab (ICT 215) is the central location to find equipment and tools related to robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), software development, and arts & textiles. Here you will find open workspaces, demos, and supplies/equipment for technology development, such as:

  • ABB YuMi® (dual-arm robot)
  • Kinova Gen3 (single-arm robot)
  • EZ-Robots
  • Spheros
  • VeX Robotics kits and parts
  • Turtle Bot
  • Elev-8 Quadcopter
  • Robotis OpenManipulator

  • Hardware for various development platforms (e.g., ROS (Robot Operating System), Mac, etc.)

  • Brother GTX Pro direct to garment printer

Green equipment

Equipment in this category does not require any additional training prior to use. Once you have access to the room, you may use any equipment labelled with a green equipment sticker.

Equipment in this category is operated by SSE Technical Services staff only. To request the equipment service, you must first complete additional training.

There is no red equipment in the Digital Design Lab.
