Although workstations in the Robotics/IoT lab are open on a first-come, first-served basis, you can also book workspace ahead of time in order to secure access.
There are two main types of workspaces that you can book in the Robotics/IoT Lab: equipment-specific and general.
To book a workspace, please use the following link:
When you arrive, you must first check in using the check-in station at the door of the Digital Design Lab (ICT 216). If you have an existing booking, you can simply tap your card. If the room is not open, you can ask the staff in Zetta (ICT 215/216/224) for a loaner card. You will trade your personal UCalgary unicard for a loaner. The loaner card will get you access to the room.
When you leave:
If you are working on any blue equipment in the Robotics/IoT Lab, please ensure you book the corresponding workstation. You cannot work on these robots if you have booked a general spot.
Robots from the Robotics/IoT Lab should be used within Zetta. If you need storage for your ongoing project, you can talk to the Zetta staff.
