VR Lab safety information
In the event of an evacuation, use the stairs to go outside. The assembly point is the EEEL Building.
The nearest fire extinguisher is located just outside the VR Lab (ICT 224).
The nearest first aid kit is located in the Robotics/IoT Lab (ICT 215), at the check-in desk.
The nearest fire alarm pull is beside the door to the North stairwell.
The nearest AED is on the first floor of ICT, near ICT 102. There is also one located in Engineering Block G, near ENG 230.
Safety when using VR equipment
If you have epilepsy or a history of seizures and blackouts, please consult a doctor before using the VR equipment.
When you wear a VR headset, you are blind to the world around you -- please ensure that the play area is clear of any tables, chairs, and other obstructions, prior to putting on the headset. If you are spectating, please be conscious of the person who is in the headset and provide them guidance if needed.
Keep in mind that you may feel nauseous when using a VR headset. If that happens, take off the headset immediately. There are vomit bags available if needed. Please let the staff in ICT 216 know if you need any assistance.
